Fabio Manzi

Fabio Manzi is an expert in Technology Transfer. He is the founder and Chief Financial Officer of Alien Technology Transfer, an independent public funding advisory specialized in project financing, project management, development of concepts and business models for innovative products.

Among his clients there are innovative startups and established Small and Medium Enterprises based in Europe and the rest of the world. He advises companies on accessing grants within the European funding framework, since January 2014 he has focused on Horizon 2020 and the SME Instrument funding framework.

He graduated in Cognitive Science at the Universiteit van Amsterdam UVA. Subsequently he began his business career in innovation management at the UPF SPECS laboratory, at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, where he developed and implemented plans for technology transfer and commercialization of the research results achieved by the lab.

In Rome, he attained his Masters in "Technology Transfer Mediation", from the Science Park of the University of Tor Vergata, and successively he specialized in financing and management of technological innovation with the industrial research laboratory LABOR Srl, with whom he worked for, for over 4 years strongly contributing to the fundraising of more than 25 R&D projects.

He recently achieved an Executive Master in Export Management at the GEMA Business School in Rome.
